Mediline is a registered umbrella body with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) formerly the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). We are able to process and submit Standard and Enhanced Level DBS application on behalf of Employers and Organisations who are recruiting paid workers or volunteers. Our role as a Registered Body is to:
Check and validate the information provided by the applicant on the application form
Establish the true identity of the applicant, through examination of a range of documents using guidance provided by the DBS
Countersign the application form to confirm that the Employer / Organisation has an entitlement to access criminal record information
Comply with the DBS's Codes of Practice

DBS Adult First £6
DBS Adult First checks against the DBS Barred List and depending on the outcome of the check it allows an individual to start work under supervision whilst a full Enhanced Disclosure is being obtained.
This check provides information on any spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warning held on the Police National Computer (PNC).
This includes the same information as a standard check plus any additional information held by the local police authority that is considered relevant to the position being applied for and checks to establish if an individual is barred from working with children and vulnerable adults.
The prices quoted above are set by DBS and may be subject to change. Mediline, also makes a charge of £15 + VAT per application to cover our administrative costs.
